Chances.
The chances
for a lightning-hit in the antenna depends on more then one factor. The two most
important are:
a. How the house is situated in the surroundings. The more the house is a high
point in his surroundings, the greater the chance to a lightning-hit.
b. The height of the antenna mast. The higher the mast is above his surrounding,
the more important the effect of this is.
An accurate borderline between cases where special measures have to be taken,
and instances where this is not necessary, can not be drawn. This depends on the
degree of risk you will accept.
